Student Wellness and Support
For many Early Childhood students, our program is their first time away from their family.
Our caring teachers have created a slow and steady introduction to the program and a regular, reassuring daily routine that helps even the most apprehensive child settle in to learning with trusted adults and start playing with new friends.
Three- and four-year-olds are practicing and mastering complex social-emotional, motor, and language skills every single day. Knowing that learning is a process, Waynflete faculty and staff take a holistic view of progress. Every child is seen, understood, and supported as they grow.
Two Years of Togetherness
Small children form big attachments to the adults they care for and who care for them. Your child’s advisor will be with them for the entire time they are in the Early Childhood program, watching them learn and grow and thrive while providing consistency and care.
Learning Assistance
Because teachers spend so much time one-on-one with students, they may see early struggles with speech and language or identify behavioral issues that need additional support. If a student needs formal evaluation, we work with parents to provide trusted referrals for specialized services.
Healthy Lifestyles
How do we take care of our bodies? How do we take care of our minds? How do we take care of each other? Waynflete teachers explore these questions with children through science, social studies, physical education, interpersonal skills, and more.
